Come along dressed as your favourite sea-farer and be in the running for a great prize, be ye pirate, cabin boy, stow away or buxom wench! Or just come as your self and enjoy a fabulous floating afternoon.

All your music for the day will have a ‘watery’ theme so if you think your heart will go on, you know the way to the bottom of an upside down cruise ship, you appreciate a good sailor’s hornpipe or you just want to know what to do with a drunken sailor then this is the cruise for you!

Mardi Gras Parade

Hyde Park to Moore Park
27 Feb. 2010

The parade theme this year was 'History of the World' and we dressed up in our pirate best and pirated with our instruments throughout the night. Our truck was decorated to be a pirate ship, with a sparkling and colourful seahorse at the bow to lead us down the parade route. We played 'Music from Pirates of the Caribbean', 'In the Navy' and 'Under the Sea' in true pirate-musician fanfare. The parade was a great success, and much pirate fun was had by all pirates. Arrr!!!

Tuesday 22 Dec. 2009

The fabulous J Bear once again joined forces with the Sydney Homotones at our favourite venue, SLIDE! For this special performance we had a bass guitarist and pianist join us.

We enjoyed a delicious meal with family and friends before performing our swing favourites in front of a captivated audience. The night ended with a touch of Christmas - we were so successful that it actually snowed indoors!
